Ice as nice! Olympic figure skater Tara Lipinski has asked her best friend, fellow champion Johnny Weir, to be in her bridal party in her upcoming wedding to Todd Kapostasy.

Weir, 32, posted a photo on Monday, September 19, of the adorable gift Lipinski sent — two customized mugs — to ask him to join her as a “bridesman.” He added in his caption: “When @taralipinski asks you to be her bridesman, you say yes. Can’t wait to go on this amazing journey with you lovebug. And yes, that’s totally us on the mug.”

Of course, Weir said yes to Lipinski, and in return, she excitedly took to her Instagram to boast of the latest addition to her wedding. “@johnnygweir said yes!” the former athlete wrote. “I’m one lucky girl to have you as my bridesman. You are always making sure that I’m at my happiest and looking my best. I couldn’t imagine this day without you by my side.”

Lipinski revealed she was engaged to Apostasy in December 2015. Ahead of her wedding, the bride has excitedly taken to Instagram to reveal more tidbits about the upcoming occasion, including her dress designer. This past weekend, Lipinski posted a photo of Reem Acra working on her gown.

“Flashing back to that time I met my dream designer,” she wrote on Sunday. “I’m still pinching myself that @reem_acra is custom designing the most important dress I will ever wear!”

Lipinski and her fiance celebrated their engagement this past May in a party hosted by Wedding Paper Divas. At the time, the couple shared exclusive details with The Knot about the elegant affair held at Mr. C Beverly Hills hotel in California.

“Todd and I made our rounds to say hello to everyone. The food was delicious and the drinks were flowing,” Lipinski said. “After dinner, the music started and the dance floor was the place to be the rest of the night. Johnny and I did a little choreographed dance, and then it got a little rowdy as Todd (and several of his friends) ended up splitting their pants. The music was THAT good! It was a great night with close friends and family and a great view.”

Like their engagement party, the couple’s wedding will place a large emphasis on their loved ones. “I travel so much. I have friends from all over the country. And Todd is from Cleveland, so his family and several of his friends were coming from Ohio,” she told The Knot in the same interview. “Both of our families were there together. It meant so much to us that everyone traveled so far and were able to be there.”
