Romance and drama were in the air this Valentine’s Day as The Bachelor celebrated all 20 seasons of the hit show during a 2-hour jam-packed special. The Bachelor at 20: A Celebration of Love was hosted by none other than Chris Harrison, who caught viewers up on Bachelor favorites, including Michelle Money, who told him, “You really can find love here,” and a very pregnant Ashley Salter.
The February 14 special wouldn’t have been complete without an over-the-top Bachelor wedding! Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert from Bachelor in Paradise tied the knot in an extravagant, television-worthy ceremony.
The wedding took place January 24 at St. Regis Monarch Beach in California. Matt Nathanson performed his hit “Bill Murray” as the bridal party made their to the altar.
The 29-year old bride wore a form-fitting custom wedding dress by Galia Lahav with a cathedral veil as she walked down the candlelit aisle. Her wedding ring was designed by Neil Lane, who also created her engagement ring.
The groom, 28, was filled with visible emotion as he spotted his bride-to-be. When Jade walked up to her husband-to-be, he sweetly said, “Hi beautiful,” as she giggled. The Bachelor host, Chris Harrison, officiated the emotional ceremony.
The couple recited handwritten vows causing more giggles and tears. “From the moment we met, it was over for me,” Tanner began. “I promise to remember that you are always right and I’m always wrong…. I can’t wait to love you for the rest of my life.”
Jade began her heartfelt vows by telling Tanner at one point she “never thought [she] was going to get married… Tanner, you are the love of my life,” she said. “I promise to always give you my best.”
The bridal party wore stunning long gowns from Kelly Faetanini and bridal footwear from Hey Lady Shoes. Wedding guests included former Bachelors and Bachelorettes such as Andrew Firestone, Trista Sutter, Andi Dorfman, Chris Soules, Shawn Booth, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Jillian Harris, and Justin Passuto.
We also spotted Chris Bukowski, Nikki Ferrell, Ashley Salter, Ali Fedotowsky, and Kevin Manno.
Jade’s Bachelor best friend, Carly Waddell, was one of the lucky bridesmaids. She also serenaded the couple with an original song prior to the couple saying “I do.”
Fans of The Bachelor couldn’t help but notice how much love was apparent between the happy couple. During their first kiss as Mr. and Mrs., Tanner dipped his wife, resulting in even more giggles.
As the couple walked into the hotel ballroom, singer Seal surprised them by singing “Kiss From a Rose,” a perfectly appropriate song choice for The Bachelor newlyweds.
This latest Bachelor couple to wed have been smitten with one another since meeting during the filming of Bachelor in Paradise in Mexico. Tanner popped the question on the show’s finale, and things have been amazing ever since.
We wish the newlyweds a marriage made in paradise. Congratulations, Mrs. and Mrs. Tolbert!
