The Voice winner Jordan Smith is kicking off 2016 with a big smile… and a fiance! The 22-year old crooner proposed to girlfriend Kristen Denny on New Year’s Day after singing the National Anthem at the NHL Winter Classic.
“RINGING in the new year with my future wife!” Smith shared on Twitter along with an image of the happy couple with the bride-to-be showing off her new engagement ring. “She said YES! #Mr&MrsSmith:”

Denny followed up with the same sweet photo in a Facebook post along with the caption, “2016… You’re definitely my favorite! #engaged #Mr&MrsSmith.”
The couple received a congratulatory tweet from Henry Winkler, who is a fan of Smith. “@JordanSmithLive long live the Smiths,” the Happy Days star posted:

The couple certainly has a lot to celebrate! Smith, who was The Voice season nine favorite, won the singing competition in late 2015. His beautiful voice resulted in a four chair turn, and the soon-to-be star chose Adam Levine as his coach. In his semi finale song, Smith sang Queen’s Someone to Love, landing him in the number one spot on the iTunes pop songs chart, which had previously been occupied by Adele’s Hello.
Now, in addition to his recent fame, the star has another life-changing moment to celebrate… his engagement! Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs. Smith! Our warmest wishes for continued success and a very happy life together.
