David Norton’s marriage might be over, but his bromance with Neil Bowlus and Tres Russell is still going strong! The Married at First Sight participants got together for a viewing party last night for the “Decision Day: Part 1” finale episode. The three bros gathered with friends and family at Lost Dog Tavern in Atlanta, Georgia to watch the episode, which revealed the fate of Norton’s marriage to Ashley Doherty but saved Bowlus and Russell’s Decision Day reveal for next week.
“I no longer have anything in common with these two…or will I?#marriedatfirstsight #mafs#whensthedeadlineforthebachelor#byefeliciaimeanashley#davidMAFSforbachelor,” Norton teasingly captioned a photo of himself posing without his wedding band between Bowlus and Russell.
During last night’s episode, Norton decided that he wanted to stay married. Doherty, however, said their “best option” was to divorce. “I don’t have the same feelings,” Doherty explained. “I wish I did, but I don’t. And I do want the best for him. That’s part of the reason why I made this decision… because I genuinely feel that it’s the best decision for both of us. I think in time he’ll realize that.”
After the reveal of his divorce was made public, Norton posted a photo on Instagram of himself sharing a hug with Bowlus and Russell. “We ride together, we die together,” he wrote. “#marriedatfirstsight #mafs #fyi #aetv #bros #sleepingalonepartyof1 #neverleftthefriendzone.”
In addition to the support of his fellow Married at First Sight season three participants, Norton’s mother attended the viewing party. In a sweet photo of him posing with his mother, Norton wrote, “I’m so lucky to of had her here with all my friends during ‘the decision’.”
While watching his marriage end on TV, the 29-year-old account executive also had two close friends by his side. “Can’t thank these two guys enough for their help during this entire process. Also had a nice little photobomb from the other MAFS members. @atlfish @leeburnette #teamdashleyminustheashley #aetv #marriage #lordofthering #Nortonpartyof1 #thebachelor.”

Norton seems to be keeping his spirits up after splitting from Doherty and is looking to the future. Last night he tweeted, “Here is to new beginnings.”
When previously asked about Decision Day, Norton told The Knot, “Good things happen to those who work hard and have an unwavering belief that something good is going to happen. It may not always be what you expect, but as one of my favorite quotes go, ‘Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose.'”
