The Victoria’s Secret Angels have descended upon Shanghai, which means an entirely new season of sizzling bridal lingerie inspiration has arrived. The 2017 show took place on Monday, November 20, and the runway selections ranged from ruby red and satin sets to sparkly, corseted longline pieces that could be perfect for your honeymoon.
As usual, there were many moving parts to this year’s show, including a swap with musical talent, bringing Harry Styles and Miguel to the forefront as the ladies sashayed down the catwalk. Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing also partook in this year’s festivities by helping design an exclusive collaboration with the brand.
“The spirit of the show reflects the confident, free and sensual woman who controls her life and is proud of her own beauty,” Rousteing, 32, told Elle this weekend. “They are sexy—of course—but never diminished. It is always the image of a woman in charge of her own life, true to herself and feeling good about how she looks.” With the Balmain collab, the models wore derivatives of plaid and leather to reflect the sexy-but-strong aesthetic known to represent the French fashion house.
The overall result was a wide range of steamy pieces perfect for gifting at bridal showers, bachelorette parties, and beyond.
