Viola Davis is a new bride… again!
The How to Get Away with Murder actress, 50, is celebrating Valentine’s Day with the love of her life, actor Julius Tennon, after the duo renewed their wedding vows on February 13.
Although Davis hinted that the vow renewal was in the works earlier this week, she allowed her 5-year old daughter, Genesis, to do the honors of announcing it to the world. An Instagram post prior to the ceremony featured the little girl celebrating the good news.
“Mommy and Daddy are getting married again today!!!!!! YAY!!!!” the caption read. The post was met with thousands of likes from Davis’ adoring fans.
Although details of the nuptials have not been released, we’re sure it was a glamorous affair. The Emmy-award winning actress shared a glimpse of the elaborate invitations before saying “I do.”

Davis’ How to Get Away with Murder costars Karla Souza, Aja Naomi King and Alfred Enoch were among some of the guests at the ceremony. Souza shared a photo on Instagram of the trio prior to leaving for the celebration. The girls also took multiple selfies on their way to the ceremony. “Ready to celebrate @violadavis #marriage #vowrenewal,” Souza captioned the black and white photos.
Davis is becoming a pro on the wedding scene! This is the second vow renewal for the couple, according to InStyle. The actress wore a “simple skirt from Express” to their first wedding 13 years ago and upgraded to a “more traditional dress” during the first vow renewal a few years later. And it seems the bride has decided to go all out this time around; she planned to don a custom Carmen Marc Valvo dress to the latest ceremony.
Davis and Tennon, 62, were wed in 2003. The happy couple adopted their daughter as a newborn in 2011, and Davis is stepmother to Tennon’s two sons.
Congratulations once again to the newlyweds! May every day be a celebration of your love.
