From one wing to some serious bling! Actor Dulé Hill, one of the main cast members of beloved political drama series The West Wing, is engaged to actress Jazmyn Simon, the couple announced on Thursday, April 20.
Hill, 41, and Simon, 36, both took to Instagram to share their engagement news—and images of her beautiful oval-cut diamond ring. “Step by step, hand in hand, you & me, lock & key,” the Sleight actor expressed. He also revealed that they got engaged on Good Friday, April 14, and added: “It was a REALLY Good Friday.”
The actor chose a romantic experience to pop the question, proposing immediately after a hot air balloon ride. Simon shared the same caption and added the hashtags, “#ISaidYes” and “ILoveYouDulé.”
Using the app’s new slideshow feature, both Simon and Hill posted the candid shots from the proposal.

Simon previously revealed how she met her future husband while chatting with Home & Family. “I met Dulé at lunch,” she told the Hallmark Channel (according to People). “I was supposed to be in Miami for two days to shoot the Ballers pilot and my two days turned into two weeks because I was at the end of the second day and my scene got bumped.”
Simon had only packed enough clothes for two days, but ended up being stranded—so she asked someone to pick her up for lunch on set one day. “Dulé had just traveled in for that one day because he was doing a play on Broadway called After Midnight, so he was only off on this Monday,” she recalled. “And so he came and I went to set and I saw him, just me and him at the end of the table, and I was like, ‘Oh, I know you. You’re Dulé!’ And I went and we exchanged numbers and the rest is history.”
