TLC’s What If We Get Married? broaches a controversial topic: What if two people who have never dated decide to tie the knot? Christian and Amanda have been best friends for 14 years. After sharing a platonic relationship since they were teenagers, Amanda realized her feelings for Christian ran deeper than strictly friendship. Her honesty about her feelings allowed Christian to admit he was in love with Amanda.
Rather than transitioning into a dating relationship, Christian surprised Amanda by proposing to her on a soccer field. After his bride-to-be said yes, the couple shared their very first kiss. The proposal was followed by a month of whirlwind wedding planning, and the results were simply stunning! Ahead of tonight’s episode, The Knot is giving What If We Get Married? viewers an exclusive sneak peek of every detail from Christian and Amanda’s wedding with their wedding photos.
Christian and Amanda’s friends were shocked when they announced their upcoming marriage. Despite having only weeks to pull everything together, they did an amazing job. Guests were given a glimpse of things to come when they opened their wedding invitations; Hannah Heres of MK Event Boutique offered this image of the modern design. The invitations were ideal for the best friends about to be wed.
The outdoor wedding was held at the 1899 Farmhouse in Princeton, Texas. The nuptials took place Friday, May 29, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. Lauren Renae Photography managed to capture every memorable moment, including those nerve-wracking, pre-ceremony moments before the bride and groom-to-be set their eyes on one another. With her stunning makeup and long, spiral curls, Amanda was a picture-perfect bride even before slipping on her Wtoo by Watters Selena gown.
