Miranda Sings is now engaged and she’s pregnant. YouTube sensation Colleen Ballinger, the force behind the fictional character Miranda Sings, is engaged to boyfriend Erik Stocklin and she’s pregnant.
The comedian, 31, announced the monumental life updates on Friday, June 29, via YouTube. According to the future mom, the baby is due on New Year’s Day. Ballinger teared up throughout the clip as she shared her news with fans.
The Netflix star, whose series Haters Back Off had a two-season run in 2016, supposedly took dozens of pregnancy tests before sharing the big news with Stocklin. “Later, on the beach, he told me, ‘I just knew the way you were looking at me,’” Ballinger told People on Friday. “He was so, so excited and had the best reaction.”
Then, Stocklin proposed. “He’d been planning it for so long and we’ve been talking for so long about getting married and having kids, but then this happened first,” Ballinger said. “He was like, ‘I don’t want you to think that I did this for any other reason other than that I love you so much.’ It was so sweet.”
She is currently 13 weeks along in her pregnancy. “Erik’s so wonderful,” she added in the same interview. “I’ve never been treated so amazing. He treats me like a princess, especially through this pregnancy. Every morning he brings me breakfast in bed and he brings me my vitamins. He gives me shoulder rubs every night. And brings me presents. He is my biggest cheerleader and just the best partner in the world. I feel lucky.”
This will be the second marriage for Ballinger, who was previously married to fellow YouTube star Joshua Evans. Both publicly opened up about their split in 2016 before taking respective breaks on YouTube.
