On Friday, October 23, popular Youtube personalities Aspyn Ovard and Parker Ferris married in a stunning outdoor wedding surrounded by flowers at the Tontaquint Garden in St. George, Utah.
The couple, whose joint Youtube channel “Aspyn + Parker” has over 869,000 subscribers, shared a video of their wedding day documenting the entire event including last minute trips to Walmart beforehand, Ovard walking down the aisle, Grandpa’s marriage advice, and more.
Only two months after the two were engaged in Santorini, Greece, Ferris, 20, told People magazine on Friday, “I have a wife! She has a husband! I’m sure it will hit me a little later once we actually get situated, living together, normal married life.”
Ovard, 19, explained to People that she didn’t expect Ferris to tear up during the wedding.
“I didn’t know if he was gonna cry because he saw me in my dress yesterday but he did,” she said. “And then I was just trying really hard not to cry.”
In the couple’s Youtube video, Ferris stands at their floral archway alter wiping away tears as Ovard walks down the aisle with her mother and father on either side.
It was Ovard’s mother who helped secure her flower crown and style her wispy bohemian up-do while Ovard did her own makeup. Ovard’s grandmother provided all of the “million” incredible floral arrangements according their interview with People.
Ovard also revealed that her lace and mesh sleeveless wedding dress was not found in a traditional dress fitting, but was an impromptu online purchase.
“I just found it online and thought it looked cute,” she told People. “I kinda went for like a boho theme, so it’s just very simple and natural looking.”
As for the reception and wedding cake, the newlyweds opted for comfort food with grilled cheese and tomato soup; their celebratory dessert a nod to Autumn with pumpkin wedding cake.
In the same interview the couple disclosed Bora Bora as their honeymoon destination with Ovard joking, “I was more excited for that for the wedding – is that bad to say?” She later added, “This is gonna be a brand new, really fun adventure.”
As for Grandpa’s advice for the newlyweds?
“Stay married!” he jokes on the couple’s Youtube video, adding, “Treat your wife really nice, all the time.”
